Prep Time 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen raspberries
  • ½-1 cup water*
  • ½ frozen banana*
  • ¼ cup hemp seeds
  • 2 tbsp natural peanut butter
  • ½ cup plain whole milk Greek yogurt
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • tsp kosher salt (a generous pinch)

Toppings:

  • Fruit (banana, raspberries, blueberries, etc…)
  • Granola
  • Cacao nibs
  • Nuts/seeds
  • *For a thicker smoothie bowl, start with ½ cup and add more if needed to get it blended. You will end up with less smoothie. You could also just add more frozen banana or berries to thicken it up.
  • Note: add steamed frozen cauliflower to sneak in some veggies. If you do, you’ll likely need to add more water, about ½ cup, or until it blends easily.

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until totally smooth. For a thicker smoothie bowl, start with ½ cup water and add more if needed to get it blended.
  • Enjoy as a smoothie or smoothie bowl. If making a smoothie bowl, pour into a small bowl and top with desired toppings.

Items you can prep ahead (optional)

  • Freeze your banana

Substitutions:

  • Use any frozen berries in place of raspberries
  • Use any nut or seed butter in place of peanut butter
  • To make vegan, substitute with vegan yogurt or skip the yogurt and increase to ½ cup hemp seeds (start with just ½ cup water).

Storage:

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Leftovers + Repurposing:

  • Shake or stir before eating as leftovers. Drink as a smoothie or bowl with your favorite toppings.
  • Stir in some extra Greek yogurt to thicken it up.
