*Adding salt makes this super hydrating and brings out the watermelon flavor. Use more or less depending on your preference and what type of salt you’re using. If using regular fine salt, only add a pinch.
Items you can prep ahead (optional)
Cube 2 cups watermelon
Make the drink
Instructions
Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth. Let sit for at least 10 minutes to allow the chia seeds to hydrate—or refrigerate and make it ahead—then drink up!
Notes
Substitutions:
Watermelon is the best here, but you can use any seasonal fruit – berries, peaches, cherries, etc... If using another fruit, add some water (¼-½ cup) so that it blends because watermelon has a ton of water content. You can also add some honey or dates or maple syrup to sweeten it up.
To make vegan, replace the yogurt with 1 tablespoon or nut or seed butter.
Skip the chia seeds for a simpler drink.
Storage:
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
